Boldenone Undecylenate
Boldenone Undecylenate is more commonly known as Equipoise and is a veterinary steroid initially developed by CIBA, intended to be used in the horse and cattle industry. Although it is intended for use on animals alone, the effects on humans are very powerful and this has fuelled an illegal manufacturing and marketing of the anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS). This black market trade is due to the fact that it has not been approved for use on humans by any government, worldwide and legal access to the drug is limited to veterinary use alone.
Appetite?
In animals the drug is used to increase appetite of those that are to be sold for meat. Indeed, it is most widely used in the cattle industry to help bulk out cows before they are sent to the abattoir. This is one of the main reasons that it is seeing a distinct upturn in use with those who are bodybuilding. The increased appetite allows them to intake more protein and carbohydrateswhich allows them to train for longer and builds muscle up more quickly.
Usage
Coming in an oil suspension only, this drug has to be injected for use. In animals it is injected about once every 6 weeks however human usage is often much higher than this, and is especially common being used in tandem with other steroids. Indeed, it is used in quantities of as much as 200mg to 600mg per week for up to 12 weeks. Although boldenone undecylenate is very similar to the hormone dianabol, the biggest difference is the half life. Boldenone undecylenate has a much longer half life which means the shelf life is longer, meaning it can be produced for distribution much more easily.
Due to this prolonged half life there are issues with those that attempt to use this drug, hoping to help them build muscle for sports. As a banned substance it is one that is tested for by many professional sports associations and is relatively easy to find. This is particularly dangerous for people who have taken it when they started training as it can stay in the body for months and even years after use.
Is this the best steroid?
For many, boldenone undecylenate is a relative weak steroid and isn’t very commonly used for those who are aiming to build muscle mass and density. Over recent years there have been increases in its use in body building when combined with other drugs such as methenolone, largely due to the changes in appetite users have reported. Most users report that of all the AAS they have used, this is the best for increasing appetite.
Although many athletes see boldenone undecylenate as a weak steroid there are some major positives that come from use of this drugs. Not only does it significantly increase the appetite of those using it but it is also great for endurance as it increases the amount of oxygen carried around the blood. Blood that is oxygen rich will help you to train for longer during more strenuous workouts.
Side Effects
There are fewer negative side effects with boldenone undecylenate than other AAS drugs and these are often less severe than you might find with some steroids. Having said that, there are still dangers with using this drug, as you would find with any drugs. Increased acne, excess hair growth, deepening of the voice and more oil produced by the skin are common side effects whereas the more serious ones include jaundice, fluid retention and ravenous hunger. If these serious side effects should occur then medical attention is needed.
Conclusion
Although boldenone undecylenate is a steroid that has been manufactured for use in animals alone, there are many body builders and athletes that use it for help with muscle and endurance improvement. This drug has not been approved for use on humans by any government and is banned by many sporting bodies. When it is used in tandem with other drugs the benefits of muscle mass and density gains are significant and it can help with those who are doing high intensity training.
